Jalapeño Mango Margarita Recipe

Sweet mango with a little jalapeño attitude. One full-size pouch makes up to 16 Mocktails or 16 Cocktails, and one mini makes up to 4 Mocktails or 8 Cocktails. 🧜‍♀️

Mocktails

Inside the pouch are dried fruit and botanicals, so it needs a base to infuse in. Lemonade and margarita mix are my favorites. Water works too, but a flavorful base makes more of a true mocktail.

Simple instructions:

• Drop the pouch in your base and boil about 2 minutes
• Turn off the heat and let the pouch sit while it cools
• At room temp, pull the pouch out, seal it in a Ziploc, and freeze it. That frozen pouch is your ice cube
• Keep leftover infusion in the fridge up to a week, or freeze it up to two months. Add seltzer fresh when you serve so it does not go flat

Two favorite Mermaid customer recipes using lemonade and margarita mix as a base (follow previous steps):

Lemonade: pour your infusion over the frozen pouch, top with seltzer, add an orange slice

Margarita mix: pour your infusion over the frozen pouch, splash of mango or orange juice, seltzer to cut the sweetness, garnish with some fruit and salt the rim

These are just suggestions, do whatever sounds good to you!

Cocktails

First, drop the pouch in a jar of tequila and let it infuse. That gives you jalapeño mango tequila, but that is not a cocktail yet, so here is the recipe:

• 1 1/2 oz of your infused tequila
• 1 oz fresh lime juice
• 1/2 oz orange liqueur, or a splash of OJ

Shake it all with ice, strain over fresh ice, and rim your glass with salt.

Good to know

• After infusing for a mocktail, seal the used pouch in a Ziploc, freeze it, and use the frozen pouch as your ice cube.
• Your infused tequila keeps in the fridge for 6 months. Just add a mixer when you are ready for a margarita.
• The pouch is a biodegradable cloth pouch, so no straining needed. Just drop it in.
